Remo dance is part of ludruk. This dance symbolizes the strength and flexibility in motion, meaning that there is a balance between hard and soft. Ludruk is one javanese folk drama in East Java. Plays aren't based solely on Javanese mythology and history but are taken also from everyday life with many satirical allusions to contemporary events. There's no definite repertoire, the actors renomned for their flawless ability in imitating women.
